Chia Breakfast for Kings by Ania Nowicki Health Coach

Wouldn’t be great to have a super indulgent breakfast, feel like royalty and not ever feel an ounce of guilt for it? I absolutely love this combination of nuts and seeds together with super fruit. I really do feel like wearing a tiara every time I have it! Β The great thing is that with the combination of nut mylk, pollen, chia seeds and super fruits this breakfast is delightfully creamy, very high in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, fibre and protein – so you won’t get hungry for ages afterwards! It really is a breakfast for kings!

(PS. It’s great for weight loss too!)

Serves: 2

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 glasses of nut mylk, or other alternative.
  • 2 tbs chia seeds
  • 2 tbs oats (optional)
  • 2 tbs goji berries
  • 2 tbs mulberries
  • 1 tbs cacao nibs
  • 2 tsp bee pollen

Method:

In a large bowl, mix two thirds of the nut mylk with the chia seeds and the oats. Give them a good stir so that there are no seeds in clumps or stuck to the sides. Leave this mixture to stand for a couple of minutes so that the chia seeds can absorb the moisture, then give it another stir. If it’s too stiff for you, add the remaining mylk. Divide into two bowls and add the sprinkles on top.

Tips:

Add a little cinnamon on top to benefit from the blood sugar balancing and anti-inflammatory properties.

Add a little raw honey or maple syrup if you like your breakfast a little sweeter.

Try a variety of dried and fresh fruit, such as plums, prunes, papaya, grated apple, blueberries, strawberries, figs, pineapple, etc.

If you know you’ll be in a rush in the morning, prepare the chia and nut mylk mixture the night before and leave it in your fridge overnight. All you’ll need to do in the morning is add your sprinkles!

    I have something very similar…raw untoasted museli (which is mostlly seeds & a few almonds), chia seeds, sugar free yoghurt, Acai, Goji berries, Golden Flameal & I alternate between sprinkling either macademias, walnuts or brazil nuts on top. Washed down with black coffee with cacao powder πŸ™‚ Absolutely love this meal & sometimes even have it again for lunch too!

      I totally get that, Andy! πŸ˜€ When breakfast is this good, sometimes it’s a strong test of will-power to have to wait another 24 hours before having it again!
